Joseph Albert Allen, 75, of Chesapeake City, MD, passed away April 27, 2012 at Union Hospital.
Born in Elkton, MD on June 28, 1936, Joe was the son of the late Joseph Henry and Ethel Ohrel Allen. Joe worked for Skold Plumbing, Heating and Air-conditioning in Newark, DE. He was a life member of Chesapeake City Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed wood burning and fishing. He was a very talented wood craftsman. He attended First Presbyterian Church in Chesapeake City.
He is survived by two sisters, Ethel ‘Dolly’ Snider and her husband Bob of Conowingo, MD and Elaine Wittbecker and her husband Carl of Spring Hill, FL, as well as nieces Paula Combs and Karen Allen, and nephews Bill and Tom Snider. He was preceded in death by his mother Ethel Allen, brother Paul Allen, sister Barbara Allen and his companion Nell.
A service honoring his life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915 on Tuesday May 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call at the funeral home beginning at 10 am. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
