I'm sure you know about Ashlee...I hope she is with you and you are looking after her. My heart is broken and I miss her so much. I think of you and Mom every day and I pray my girl has found you.
Until we meet again -- hugs and kisses!
Love,
Deebee
Well, it's six years now...seems like just yesterday. I often want to pick up the phone and get some cooking advice or ask for some wise help with one of my many problems! I sure miss your voice.
My family sends their love. My back has been giving me lots of problems and pain. It goes out 3 or 4 times a month...that is a lot. But, every time it happens I think of you - and now understand what you went through. Back pain is miserable. Kurt has to help me to the bathroom - how humbling!!
Your kids are all great. You would be very proud of Jon. He is doing so well, and he travels ALL over the world for work. He's got a fantastic gig, lots of friends, and he's looking sooo good!! He came through Chicago a few months ago and Ashlee and I met him at the airport and spent the night with him. He's a good brother - love him, lots!!
Well, Daddy, I'm gonna go. Give Mom a smooch from me and tell her I love her. I love you to pieces and think of you every day. I have pictures of you guys on my night stand, so I see your handsome faces every day.
Save me a spot. We'll talk again, soon.
Love you,
Deeb
XOXOXO
P.S. How do you like my haircut?? Crazy, huh!!
Has it been 5 years already? I can't believe it...we'll be seeing each other before you know it. I'm surely no spring chicken!! I just want you to know that I'm thinking about you today, yesterday, and tomorrow. Miss you so much!
Love you forever and ever! Give Mom a smooch from me.
Your loving daughter,
Deeb
I was just talking to Mom. It's late and I'm printing out some recipes. I wish we could talk about that short rib, slow cooker recipe. I can't seem to remember all the ingredients, but I wing it - certainly not as good as yours! My mouth has been watering for some ham n cabbage...Poppy style!!
Been keeping Mom busy? Crossword puzzles for two?? Haha! I don't know how the Orioles are doing, but our White Sox have been kicking some butt. Better than that, the Chicago Cubs are on fire!! The town is in awe...haven't been any where near this good since...well I can't remember when. Don't want anyone to hear, but they got a good chance this year. Ashlee thinks it's gonna be the Cubs and White Sox in the World Series. Wouldn't that be a hoot!!
Kurt goes to the OTB every once in awhile...I tell him stories of being at Delaware Park with you. Remember my 21st? That's where the three of us spent it. I'll never forget - seems like last week!
I love and miss you Daddy. Thanks for always being on my side. Keep a spot warm for me.
You're the best daddy - ever!
XOXOXO
Deeb
