















John W. Weber, 66, of Newark, passed away with his youngest sister at his bedside at Christiana Hospital on April 11th after a brave battle with cancer. John began his work career at Wilmington Dry Goods where he progressed to Store Manager. After his retail career ended, John began working at the Chrysler Corporation where he retired after 30 years of service. John was a proud man with a great sense of humor. He was a lifelong Phillies fan and loved Bruce Springsteen.
John was preceded in death by his mother Margaret L. Weber, his father John R. Weber, and his daughter, Tara Lynn Griffith. John is survived by his sisters Lisa Wisniewski of Newark and Bonnie Weber-Straub of Bear, brothers-in-law Bob Wisniewski of Newark and Rick Straub of Bear, niece Katie Wisniewski of Eugene, OR, nephew James Wisniewski of Newark, and 2 grandchildren.
At the wishes of John, there will be no services. At a later time, there will be a celebration of John’s life hosted by his sisters.
