John Richard Landoll, Sr., 79, of Cibolo, Texas, formerly of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026. Born in Norwalk, Ohio, John was the son of the late Richard John Landoll and Marilyn Theresa Landoll (née Hipp). He was the beloved husband of Karen J. Landoll (née Binder), with whom he shared a lifetime of love until her passing in 2012. In addition to his parents and his wife, Karen, John was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Wilson.

John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, including during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he enjoyed a successful career in sales in the trucking industry, most notably with Tri-State Trucking Company. He later worked in the banking and security fields with MBNA and Brooks Security, bringing the same dedication and professionalism to every role.

John had a passion for sports and was a lifelong fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Indians. He also enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, and beer steins, building an impressive collection that reflected his appreciation for history and craftsmanship. A devoted dog lover, especially of German Shepherds, he shared his home with many faithful companions throughout the years.

In retirement, John enjoyed traveling, discovering new places, and making memories with family and friends. More than anything, he treasured time spent with those he loved. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, resilience, generosity, and unwavering devotion as a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his children, Christina Conroy, John Landoll, Jr. and his partner Dakota, and Nicholas Landoll and his wife, Nerrissa; his grandchildren, Thomas, Matthew, Theresa, Julianna, Haven, Kellen, Brantley, Brantland, John Richard III, Rhett, Willow, Kinsley, Willow, Zyairr, Shanyah, Leah, Kyasia, Aneesa, Jeremy, and Demetrius; his great-grandson, Theodore; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main Street, Newark, Delaware. Family and friends are invited to gather beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow.

John’s life was defined by service to his country, love for his family, and friendships that endured a lifetime. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
