John P. Weaver Sr.

December 2, 1958 - December 9, 2011

John P. Weaver, Sr., age 53, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011.

John was born on December 2, 1958 and is the son of Margaret (Stant) Weaver and the late Joseph Weaver.

John worked as a safety operator for Delaware Terminal Company and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the Eagles and Phillies.

Along with his mother, John is survived by his daughter, Mandi Weaver Mullinix and her husband, Matthew of Abingdon, MD; sons, John P. Weaver, Jr. and his wife, Jessica of Wilmington, DE and Jackson Philhower Weaver of Ohio; grandson, R.J. Hamm; brothers, Joey Weaver, Jeff Weaver and Gary Weaver; and sisters, Suzanne Johnston, Peggy Johnson, Barbie Lawson, Dorothy Slawik and Helen Snyder.

He is also survived by his wife, Denise Weaver and step-children, Julie, Jaclyn and Jake.

John was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Lee Weaver.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 15, 2011 in the Immaculate Conception Church, Bow Street, Elkton, MD. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Newark, DE. Friends and family may also attend visitation on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 6 -8 pm at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A. (formerly Gee Funeral Home), 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, c/o the funeral home.

Sorry to hear about this loss, John was good guy, loved his kids. He always talked about Jackson, Mandi, and John Jr. They were the bright spot in his lift. I guess now all the pain in his life is over, he's moved on to be with long lost family. John is dearly missed, and we talk about him regularly.
