John Martin Smelter. Age 67, of Lewes, DE passed away on Wednesday, July 6,2022. Born on November 20, 1954, to the late William Thomas Smelter Sr. and the late Audrey (Baldwin) Harthausen.

John is survived by his companion, Michele Emge of Lewes, DE; daughter, Melissa Primus (Brian) of Bel air, MD; stepson Brandon Emge of Essex, MD; brother Thom Smelter (Tricia) of Fredericksburg, VA; nephews: Brian Smelter (Beth) and Craig Smelter (Mirna); Nieces: Suzanne Davis (Ted) and Deanna Cox (Walt); and 2 grandchildren Matthew and Kaitlyn.

He was only in Le×s for a short time and I was able to help him with his main power for the trailer. We were friends at a young age in the Belair, Edison, behind 2 Guys. We were able to reconnect on Facebook and spend time together in person and online. The Reisler family and my family were close to John growing up. Sorry for your loss and prayers for your family.
