John “Jack” Sebold

November 4, 1922 - June 11, 2018

Jack was the owner/operator of Jim’s Market for 48 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #353 in Oxford, PA, a life member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon and of Har-Ce Forrest #142. Jack was also a member of Gideons International and a lifetime member of Hopewell United Methodist Church in Port Deposit, MD. He worked hard his entire life, either keeping busy with his work or with the organizations to which he belonged. Jack loved to travel and was often sought after to give hugs after church services on Sundays.

Jack is survived by his son, James Sebold and his wife, Dana; daughter, Rebecca Myers and her husband, Steve; daughter, Emma Wagner; six grandchildren: Jonathan Sebold, Emley Mayhan, Bryan J. Sebold, Richard W. Pierce, John H. Pierce and Ellen E. Sunderland; eleven great-grandchildren: Evan Sebold, Makenzie Sebold, Brennan Sebold, John Mayhan III, Taylor Lynn Pierce, Morgan Pierce, MaKayla Sunderland, Matthew Sunderland, Madison Sunderland, Serenity Myers and Trenton Myers.

In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Rebecca (Mahoney) Sebold and grandson, Jeffrey Adam Myers.

Services for Jack will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Dear Emma, Becky, and Jimmy,
I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I have such wonderful memories of visiting you home, orchard, cider press and stand as a child. Our parents were friends a long time, before they were married!! I loved listening to their old stories!! I am sorry to see that your Mom also passed away. It has been 7 years since my Mom and Dad passed away. My prayers are with you all and you families!! Your Dad was so wonderful and I had a lot of those hugs after church on Sunday's too.
