John Frank Shook Cameron, of Clinton, MA, passed away surrounded by his family, Thursday, March 2, 2023. He was born on March 5, 1931, in Wilmington, DE to the late John Bertrand Shook and Louise Estell (White) Cameron.
John graduated from West Nottingham Academy, Colora, MD and Andrews University, Berrien Springs, MI. In 1950 he married Mary Margaret McFadden of Port Deposit, MD.
John served as a pastor in the Seventy-day Adventist Church for 34 years in Maryland, Delaware, Indiana, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
John’s family will miss his quick wit and bright smile. John never stopped reading and learning, his favorite books being biographies. He had a strong faith in God and understood giving unconditional love.
John is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Mary Cameron; daughter, Rachel Cameron McMeen (Phil);
granddaughter, Alison Meirowitz McCarthy (Brian); and great-granddaughter, Matilda Louise McCarthy.
A graveside service will be held at Hopewell Cemetery in Port Deposit, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Development Office, and sent to R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., PO Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
