John Earl Cox, age 59, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at his home. He was born August 25, 1955 in West Grove, PA to the late George Summerton Cox, Sr. and Mary Russ Cox.
John enjoyed doing puzzles and spending time with his family and friends, who will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Ana Maria Cox; two brothers, George S. Cox, Jr., and Joseph Cox and his wife, Martina; and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, James Cox and his sister, Rosemary Cox.
A service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Moore’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 392 Blake Rd, Elkton, MD 21921. Friends and family may visit from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will follow the services at St. John’s Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution checks can be made to “Moore’s Chapel United Methodist Church” or “Haven Community Church” and sent c/o R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911.
