Pam (Adamson) DeGeorge left a message on April 24, 2017:
To the Speakman children, When we were children and came to your house with my parents, we would go upstairs and make up plays, and then have our parents come watch them. I remember your mother sitting with her hands folded loosely under her chin watching, and then when we were done, she would clap and smile and leave her arms gently bent with her hands still under her chin for several seconds before the adults left to continue their visit. I always thought that was the sweetest thing, and it's what I remember most about her. My deepest sympathy to all of you in her passing. May she rest in God's eternal peace.
Cheryl Fitzpatrick left a message on March 20, 2017:
It is written: John 14:1-2 1-Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well. 2: In My Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Joan was blessed and highly favored of the Lord. A very sweet woman. A loss to those here now in the world and an asset to God in heaven. Many blessings and condolences to the family. Rosalie/Ann, I'm so sorry to hear of you Mom's passing. She was a sweet lady who lived a life rich and full of family and experiences, of which you are a lovely and most significant portion.

For Rosalie Bradley: I spotted your name in your sister's obituary. She certainly lived a long and full life. I would love to be able to get in touch with you. Hope you are well.

I have many glorious memories of our times in Charlestown. Joan was a wonderful mother and friend. Her love spread far and wide. My thoughts are with all of the Speakman family. With love and respect, Susie Kelley
