Joan Brown Cox, age 90 of Wilmington, DE passed away on August 2, 2023. She was born on March 6, 1933 in Wilmington, DE.

Joan worked for DuPont for 25 years as a secretary and later an Executive Assistant in a variety of departments. After her retirement, she worked at the DuPont Country Club in their Tennis Pro Shop. She also volunteered for Ronald McDonald House.

Joan is survived by two daughters, Deirdre Joan Cox of Sausalito, California, and Kathryn C. Ellsworth of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, as well as a brother, Russell Brown of Rockland, Delaware.

To Joan's family, We are so sorry about Joan's passing and we miss her. She was very courageous, and a good role model and friend. Just before Mother's Day, we had a wonderful conversation about life and discovered things we had in common, not realized before. What was evident is how much she loved her family, in the way she spoke about her daughters and their relationships, really friendships. It was very uplifting. We hope that your memories of her will sustain you through these times. Take good care.
