Jerry and Joan were Maestros for many years. We enjoyed many years of playing and singing music together. We especially enjoyed their duet on "Hey, Good Lookin" as did the crowd. Jerry was always thoughtful and kind to everyone he met. He visited many area rallies and served as Vice President and President of the SEA Sharps. Joannie and Jerry were a match made in heaven. Always reaching out to others to make them feel welcome. Jerry will be missed greatly. We will always have wonderful memories of times together.

I remember five boys, two mothers, a grandfather, a grandmother, and a dog named Daisy on a Missouri farm trying to get by. Pat, Mike, and Jerry were the big boys, and my twin and I were the little ones. Jerry was always the kindest, the most loving, and the hardest worker. From those humble roots, Jerry became, in essence, a role mode for all of us through hard work, education, military service, and family devotion. He touched many people who will never forget. A life very well lived. Rest in peace, Jerry.
Dave and Lynne Reed left a message on March 10, 2014:
Joan and Family, Dave and I are deeply saddened by your loss. Jerry was a wonderful person who always had a good story to share. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We know it will be hard these next few weeks and month, but remember, all the stories and things you did with him over the many years. They will keep you going through these tough times, you will cry and laugh and remember there is something you will want to say to him, and even though he won't be able to hear you, say it to him anyway, because it will help to ease the pain of his passing. In fondess and love, Dave and Lynne Reed
