Jerry Gale Delp, age 68, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. Born on May 9, 1945 in Piney Creek, NC, he was the son of the late Luther and Blanche Delp.

Jerry worked and retired from Chrysler in Newark, DE after 44 years. He was devoted to his family, friends, and his church, Freemont United Methodist. Jerry was a Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan, who also enjoyed taking trips to Florida.

He is survived by his sons, Dave Delp and wife Kelly of Elkton, MD, and Brian Delp and his wife Colleen of Smyrna, DE; brothers Howard Delp and wife Ruth of Rising Sun, MD, Bobby Delp and wife Charlotte of Churchill, MD, Delp , Randy Delp and wife Pilamra of FL, Mike Delp and wife Susan of FL, and Daniel Delp of VA ; sisters Alma Foster and husband Bill of Rising Sun, MD, Wanda Fay Fields and husband Dean of NC, Emma Health and husband Roger of VA, Sylvia Fields and husband David of VA, and Debra Hale and husband Walter of FL; sister-in-law Barbara Delp of MD; and five grandchildren, Felicia, Megan, Chase, Brianna and Brandon.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Charles Edwin Delp.
