Jennifer Mahaffey

Jennifer Frances Mahaffey, 51, passed away April 29, 2021. Jennifer was born in Baltimore County, MD on December 29th, 1969.

Jennifer and her husband Pete met as coworkers at a small retail chain in 1995. Jennifer took a job with Bell Atlantic, later Verizon, in 1996. Through her personal strength and dedication to her work she quickly earned a promotion to management where she continued to work for the company until 2008. After leaving Verizon Jennifer devoted herself to caring for her family. Her daughter Erin was her joy and the focus of her life. Jennifer ensured that Erin and her friends enjoyed swimming, roller skating, having their nails done, and everything else that a young girl could want. Jennifer was like a second mom to so many of Erin’s friends. Jennifer’s friends were also a source of joy and love in her life. She was never happier than when she was among friends, especially when they accompanied her to see her favorite bands perform live which was one of her greatest passions.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Peter Mahaffey of Rising Sun, MD; daughter, Erin Mahaffey of Rising Sun, MD and her mother Robin Connelly and father, Patrick Connelly of Ocean Pines, MD. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Mahaffey.

Services will be held on Wednesday, May 5th at 7pm, with visitation at 6pm at R.T. Foard Funeral Home in Rising Sun, MD. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
