


Jennifer Ann Reed, 53, of Elkton, MD, passed away unexpectedly October 8, 2014 at her home.
Born in Cherry Hill, NJ on September 9, 1961, Jennifer was the daughter of John D. and Nancy Fisher Rittenhouse. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and then worked at DuPont for a number of years. In recent years, she helped oversee the family property management business. Jennifer was an equestrian, a talented artist, and jewelry designer. She also enjoyed delivering pet therapy to residents at local senior centers. She loved her family and her two Bedlington Terriers, Tucker and Molly.
In addition to her parents, Jennifer is survived by her husband of 26 years, Christopher Reed; 2 sisters, Karen Pels and her husband Gerry of Houston, TX, and Leslie Rittenhouse of Bonita Springs, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A service honoring her life will be held at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, DE 19711 on Wednesday October 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Ministry of Caring Inc., and mailed to the funeral home.
