Jeffrey C. Widmayer, 62, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2018. Jeff was born June 24, 1955 in Bethesda, MD to Edward J. and Nellie (Sanderson) Widmayer. Jeff attended the Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Silver Spring, MD and graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park.

A mechanical engineer, Jeff owned and operated J. C. Machined Co., a custom design and fabrication machine shop in Peach Bottom, PA. He was an active member of Good Shepherd (Perryville, MD) and St. Agnes (Rising Sun, MD) Roman Catholic Church. For many years, he coordinated and cooked at the monthly All-You-Can-Eat pancake breakfast in support of the Good Shepherd School, and he was a Rising Sun Little League umpire from 2008 to 2016. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and umpiring Little League softball and baseball games. Jeff’s life revolved around his family, and he was a loving husband and fully involved father.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Patricia (Daney) and daughter Jennifer Karen Wen-Li. He will also be missed by his siblings, Edward J. Jr. (Joyce), Nellie Hill (Susan Farthing), Carol Widmayer and Mary Landolt (Timothy); and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A viewing will be held from 6PM to 8PM on Friday, February 9, 2018 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921. A Mass in celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Good Shepherd Church, 828 Aiken Ave, Perryville, MD 21903. Family and friends may begin visiting at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made in Jeff’s honor may be made payable to “Rising Sun Little League” or “Good Shephard Catholic School” and sent in care of the R.T. Foard Funeral Home, PO Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
