Jeffery “Rusty ” Scott Wilkerson

“J. Scott ‘Rusty’ Wilkerson – on August 30, 2021 at 7p Scott ascended to Heaven surrounded by his family. He was 55 years old. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Wendy Jo Stewart Wilkerson (formerly of Glen Mills, PA and North East, MD) his boys, Coty (Catherine) of Charleston, SC and Nicholas (Bethany) of York, PA along with his grandchildren Hunter, Charlotte, and Luke, and his dog, Chai. He has two special granddogs named Cooper and Moe. Scott was preceded in death by his daughter, Lacey Hannah, two grandchildren, his Siberian husky, Blizzard and his mom, Bonnie Faye Seals Wilkerson. A private Celebration of Life will be held in accordance with Rusty’s wishes.”

A current resident of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, he was born at Fort Rucker, Alabama, and his family moved to Cecil County, Maryland when he was 10 years old. He was a graduate of North East High School, North East, MD where he and Wendy raised their family for 30 years. Scott was the best husband, father and grandfather in the entire world and not only spoke words of love but showed unconditional love and encouragement through his actions. He cared deeply about providing for his family, integrity and character. He took time to play with his kids in their backyard and supported their athletics and aspirations the best he could. He was a humble man with a very strong faith who chose to quietly show his beliefs by the life he led and his actions. Scott would help anyone he could, thus the hashtag #rustyfix was born. He was an active member of Discover Life Church in Melbourne, Florida. Scott was extremely proud to be a long term, hard worker for General Electric. His hobbies and interests included guns, Yahtzee, Rummy, solitaire, watching ice hockey, being at the beach, all things NASA and rocket launches, along with storm chasing and weather watching. There will be a private Celebration of Life service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with these unexpected expenses, and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.O.
