Jean Whaling Ragan, age 69 of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017. She was born on October 10, 1947 to the late Frederick Whaling, II and Olivia (Humbert) Whaling.
Jean enjoyed planting flowers and feeding the birds. She was very active in the community. Jean was a very loving and caring person who found her greatest joy in taking care of her family, friends and many others.
Jean is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dennis W. Ragan; son, Gregory Wayne Ragan and his wife, Dena Marie Michelman-Ragan; five grandchildren: Ryan Gregory Ragan and his fiancé, Brittney Heavlin, Dylan Robert Ragan and his girlfriend, Katelynn Roney, Ethan Dennis Ragan, Mick Frederick Michelman and Gavin James Ragan; two brother: Fredrick Whaling, III and Patrick Whaling; and many cousins and extended family. Jean is preceded in death by her parents.
Services for Jean will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
