Betty Jo (B.J.) Connor left a message on April 16, 2019:
Margaret, JC, Roger, and Benjamin, I'm sorry for your loss. Your mom was my mom's (Virginia Worth Nichol) maid of honor. If this works, here's a photo of Jean in my parents' wedding party on 10/28/1944.
Mrs. Betty (B.J.) Connor left a message on April 16, 2019:
Margaret, JC, Roger, and Benjamin, your mother was beautiful on the inside and outside! Jean and Lee were friends with my parents, Virginia and Dale Nichol of Landenberg, PA. Mom and I attended your dad's funeral. Even though it was a sad time, your mom's faith in Jesus gave her such an aura of peace.
Mom's friend, Harriett Esham in Wilmington, DE, sent me Jean's obituary from the News Journal. What a lovely job you did, describing what a loving, hardworking "true Proverbs 31 woman" Jean was. You must miss her and Lee terribly, as I miss my parents, but what a wonderful reunion awaits in heaven. If this photo goes through, it shows your mom at my parents' 50th wedding anniversary celebration on 10/28/1994.
Robert Wilson left a message on April 16, 2019:
Margaret,
So sorry to hear about the death of your mother. Although we haven't seen or communicated with the Hoffecker side of the family these many years I did keep somewhat informed about everyone through my sister Shirley (Wilson) Thurber. Just recently we were reminiscing about the visits to Aunt Mollie's and Uncle Lee's farm, Lee Jr. and Jean's building of their home and subsequent visits there. Ironically my wife's Uncle, Clyde Roberts, attended church with Jean and Jr.. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family
