Jason Robert Reed, 36, from Rising Sun, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2024. Born on August 15, 1988, in Newark, Delaware, he was the cherished son of Barbara Dawn Reed, Charles DiGia, and John Reed Jr.
Jason graduated with honors from West Nottingham Academy as part of the Class of 2006. Known for his strong work ethic and determination, he dedicated many years to his role as a Warehouse Manager at UPak, followed by his position as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Kinsley Construction.
A man of diverse interests, Jason was a lover of the outdoors, and found tranquility in hunting and fishing. Music played an essential role in his life, providing comfort and connection, while being on the water was where he felt most at peace. He also had a passion for classic Ford Mustangs.
Above all, Jason was devoted to his family. His love and pride for his children was obvious. To his friends, Jason was a steadfast presence. He made a lasting impression on all who knew him, which has become apparent during this difficult time.
He is survived by his parents, Barbara Dawn Reed, Charles DiGia and John Reed Jr.; his beloved children, twin girls Abigail and Allison, and son Jaxon, who were his greatest joy; the mother of his children, Mykala Gehron; his brother, John Reed III; and his nephew, John Reed IV. Jason also leaves behind a vast extended family and numerous lifelong friends who will always cherish his friendship and shared memories.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Waterway Church, 550 Waterway Road, Oxford, PA on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are welcome to gather at 1:00 PM to share stories and commemorate Jason’s life.
