Jason Christopher George, age 42, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023. He was born December 25, 1980 in Wilmington, DE to Elizabeth “Bitsy” C. (Williams) George and the late Ernest C. George.

Jason took great joy in mountain biking, even doing the “bike to the beach”.  He was an avid reader, who would read anything he could get his hands on. Jason was always up for a good card game of Magic the Gathering. He was a San Francisco 49ers fan and was always sure to watch their games. Jason’s greatest joy of all was spending time with his family during their gatherings. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jason is survived by his mother, Elizabeth “Bitsy” George of Newark, DE; two brothers: Nicholas A. George and his wife, Kimberly of Newark, DE and Derrick M. George of Newark, DE; aunt, Rosemary Steve and her husband, Randy of Newark, DE; two cousins: Maria Okeefe and her husband, Jason of Downingtown, PA and Sean P. Williams of New York, NY;  niece, Carli George of Philadelphia, PA; three uncles: John George and his wife, Heather of Elkton, MD, Fletcher Williams, III of Elkton, MD, and Andrew Williams of North East, MD; and many friends, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00AM at R.T. Foard and Jones, 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711 where family and friends may begin visiting at 10:00AM. Burial will be held privately.
