Jason Alexander Rush of Elkton, MD age 37, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020. Jason was born on July 18, 1982 in Elkton, MD to the late Thomas Andrew Rush Sr. and Patsy Ann (Boone) Rush.
Jason graduated James Madison University in Virginia with a bachelor’s degree. He completed his studies to become a licensed funeral director at Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science. Jason worked at R.T. Foard Funeral Home as a funeral director’s apprentice and a monument consultant with R.T. Foard Memorial Company serving the families for the past 9 years.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoying hunting at his family’s cabin in West Virginia. He loved his dogs: Duke, Bo & Tink. Jason was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fanatic.
Jason is survived by his brother, Tom Rush and his wife Michele of North Grafton, MA; sister, Cathy Rush of Colora, MD; nieces: Madeline and Olivia Rush; nephew, Andrew Dvorak, many uncles and aunts and his longtime companion, Jessica. Jason is preceded in death by his parents, Tom & Pat Rush.
A celebration of Jason’s life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at R.T. Foard Funeral Home 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911 where friends and family may start visiting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held immediately after at Immaculate Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “NRA” (National Rifle Association) and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, PO Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
