Jane Louise Rhoades

Jane Lousie Rhoades, age 86, of Denton, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026. She was born on July 25, 1939 in Glenmore, PA to the late Charles Rupert Davis and Jane (Moore) Davis. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard W. Rhoades.

Jane Louise’s happiest moments were astride a horse in the hunt field, following her father’s pack of hounds, her own, or with the many hunt clubs she was associated with in Pennsylvania and Maryland. A true horsewoman, she loved sharing her knowledge and skills and was proud to be a mentor to many. She and her late husband, Richard W. Rhoades, also a horseman, shared many of these moments together.

Jane is survived by her children; Joshua Rhoades and Jacquelyn Bullis; stepdaughter, Robin Carsto; and grandchildren: Jessica Rhoades, Patrick Bullis, Emory Bullis, and Sarah Kratz.

Services for Jane will be held privately.
