James Walker Morgan, 71, of Rising Sun, MD went home to our Lord Monday, September 29, 2014.
Born December 3, 1942 in Buchanan, VA, James was the son of the late Troy and Nellie (Ball) Morgan. James retired from his 17 year career with Peco in 1994. He enjoyed fishing, bluegrass festivals, camping, working in the yard, helping his family and friends, and visiting his childhood home in Honaker, VA. James was a devoted family man. His most cherished time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
James is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mable Jane Morgan of Rising Sun, MD; sons, Jerry W. Morgan and his partner, Christina Brooks of Rising Sun, MD, Gary L. Morgan and his partner, Monica Dalton of Conowingo, MD, and P.J. Little and his wife, Angie of Darlington, MD; daughter, Brenda K. Morgan Wise and her partner, Jake Adams of Conowingo, MD; three grandchildren, Gary L Morgan, Jr., Kenny W. Morgan, and Charles B. Wise; four great grandchildren, Parker S. Morgan, Dustin J. Wise, Cayden L. Wise, and Alexis Wright; brother, Robert Morgan of Honaker, VA; sister, Liz Morgan Garrett of Lebanon, VA; and many other loved ones. Including his parents, James was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, and his granddaughter, Kaysea Shane Morgan.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2014 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may visit beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Brookview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Mabel Morgan to help with medical and funeral costs and sent in care to the funeral home.
