James V. Logullo, Jr., 81, of Elkton, MD, passed away January 16, 2015 at Seasons Hospice/Franklin Square Hospital with his wife by his side.
Born in Wilmington, DE on October 6, 1933, Jim was the son of the late James and Anne Ludlum Logullo. He graduated from Conrad High School and from there enlisted in the U.S. Army and was a medic serving in the Korean War. Following his service in the Army, he worked for Diamond State, later Verizon Telephone Co. for 36 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, a good meal and travelling. His family and friends will miss him very much and remember his great sense of humor.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Jackie Reed Logullo; 3 children, James R. Logullo and his wife Jennifer of Earleville, MD, Michael A. Logullo and his wife Mindy of FL, and Debra McGhee and her husband Stephen of Newark, DE; a grandson, Benjamin Logullo; a granddaughter, Katya; 3 brothers, Thomas, Robert and William Logullo; 5 stepchildren 9 step grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters Florence Greer and Patsy Logullo.
A service honoring his life will be held on Wednesday January 21, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921 with a visitation from 6 – 8:00 pm. Burial with military honors will be held at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday January 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Baldwin United Methodist Church and mailed to the funeral home.
