Michelle Nevins left a message on November 11, 2022:
I bumped into Jim in the Newark Natural Food on the beautiful day of Spring 2008. We immediately got into a conversation that was from organic food to the Green activist. When we moved to our personal life, he learned about that I was struggling to find an internship before a graduation. He showed me his office (it was right next door) and offered me an internship at his marketing company, Forte. The internship became the foundation stone of my career and my successful American dream! Now I’m a head of financial department at a construction company. He changed my life totally in the positive way. He was my mentor and teacher, and I always remember his lesson about how to view a life and what attitude I need to have to go thru ups and downs of the life. His great teaching will live with me for the rest of my life and he will be in my heart forever. Jim, Dave and I will miss you so much! Send our love to you! Mark, I learned about this too late. I'm sorry and our sincerest condolence for you. Wishing you peace, comfort and lots of love at this time of sorrow!

Mark, Karen (and Julianna, Teresa, Emma), Our condolences; only met Jim a couple of times (last time was a Water is Life event) but have heard many stories from Mark and definitely saw his ‘joy’ for life. Always a hard time when a parent (or grandparent) passes away; will be praying for him: eternal rest grant unto Jim O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him, may Jim’s soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest In peace - Amen. Mike Keefe (and Liz and the kids)

I worked with Jim and Mark for years, I cannot be the man I am today without their help. I had the privilege to visit him 3 weeks ago and this is when the picture was taken. I know Jim loved me dearly and he asked me about my recent and give me his blessing for the future. It was sad that he was saying goodbye and I didn't get a chance to visit him again since. But I always cherish the time that we spent together. Thank you for all the help, blessing, and love you give me, and thank you for raising such great sons. How lucky I am to have a memory with you that makes saying goodbye so hard. I love you Jim and you will always be in my heart.

A man tells his stories so many times that he becomes the stories. They live on after him. And in that way he becomes immortal.
