James “Jimmy” Calvin Taylor, age 66, of North East, MD passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024. He was born on May 19, 1958 in Elkton, MD to the late Edward Vance Taylor, Sr., and Jane Marie (Shaw) Taylor.
Jimmy worked at National Vulcanized Fiber from 1978-2007 and then went on to work for Herr’s Factory retiring after 12 years. He loved playing pool and was a member of an Oxford league. Jimmy was an outdoorsman, who loved to go on fishing trips with his brother. He also enjoyed hunting for deer which was his favorite and occasionally rabbit and boar. In his younger years, you could always find him by the water fishing with his brother. Jimmy was an avid Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan and was always sure to watch their games.
Jimmy is survived by his four siblings: Delores Atallian and her husband, Ron, Edward V. Taylor, Jr. and his wife, Kathy, Carol Eveland and Patty Kolbus and her husband, Michael; nieces and nephews: Tracey Taylor, Holli Taylor, Jayne Eveland and her fiancé, Bob Weber, and Jimmy Eveland and his Partner, Jody Kennedy, and Taylor Kolbus; great niece, Meghan Roach; and two great nephews: Travis Weber and Chase Vasquez who he viewed more as a son than a nephew.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “American Heart Association” and send in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
