James C. Willis, 57, of Bear, DE, passed away unexpectedly July 10, 2014 at his home.
Born in Wilmington, DE on October 28, 1956, Jimmy was the son of the late Charles and Mary Willis. He attended Christiana High School and then worked in the construction trades, talented in many facets of the industry. He loved being on the water crabbing and fishing. He took great pride in his garden and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his beloved wife of nearly 30 years, Carol Willis; three stepdaughters, Autumn, Lori and Bobbie; two sisters, Donnajean Detwiler and her husband Steve of Newark, Terri Baer and her husband David of FL; a brother, Mark Willis and his wife Carol of Newark; nephews Billy, Jamie and Josh and nieces Jeanette, Melissa, Nicole, and Michaela as well as numerous great nephews and a great niece.
A service honoring his life will be held at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, DE 19711 on Tuesday July 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Cherry Hill, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home.
