


Jim Grim, age 62, of Elkton, MD passed away peacefully on October 13, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 1, 1955 in Annapolis, MD he was the son of Robert Grim and the late Margaret (Roper) Grim.
Jim was a U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran, serving from March 1974 through March 1978 as an Aviation Electrician. During his service, he achieved both Sailor of the Month and Sailor of the Base awards. After Jim’s service, he was employed by Dassault Falcon Jet (formerly Atlantic Aviation) from September 1979 until his passing, as an Aviation Electrician. Jim loved being outdoors. Some of his favorite outdoor activities were attending car shows, maintaining his perfect lawn and spending time at his pool. Jim’s most cherished time was spent with his family and grandchildren, attending all of their sports games and activities. An outgoing jokester who was truly a jack-of-all-trades, Jim will be remembered as an incredibly honest and loving man that was the best Poppop ever to his three grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sophia Grim; daughters: Stephanie Grim (Michelle), Stacy Argoe (Jason), and Emily Grim (Ty); grandchildren: Jackson and Lily Argoe, and Amya Grim; father, Robert Grim (Cathy); brothers: Robert Grim (Judy), and Kenneth Grim; sister, Margaret (Peggy) Kimes (Ralph); and numerous other friends and family.
