Jacquelyn Helen Boyer, age 68, of Elkton, MD passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021. She was born on January 3, 1953 in Wilmington, DE to the late Joseph William McKinley, Sr. and Joan Marie McKinley (Massuci).
Jackie, also known as “Jake” or “Gram,” was an LPN for over 30 years with the State of Delaware. Aside from a nurse, Jake was a homemaker, gardener, bird lover, karate mom, and a proud gram. Her favorite bird was the cardinal, which she will always be remembered by. She along with her husband, Chris, of 30 years enjoyed motorcycling, the Caribbean Islands, time with their family, friends and their German Shepherd, Whitey. Jake will be remembered for driving her 68 Camaro convertible, with the “Jake’s 68” license plate, which she loved!
In addition to her husband, Chris, Jackie is survived by her son, Christopher James Boyer, Jr. (Dawn Magaw); daughter, Jocelyn Anne Dill (Derek Diem); daughter, Jacqueline Rose Maybroda (George); 13 grandchildren: Victoria, Hunter, Alysha, Julia, Kaydria, Alyssa, Giana, Gabriella, Molly, Stephen, Zane, Zenek, and Jaxon; brothers: Robert Scott McKinley, Sr., Joseph William McKinley, Jr. (Liz), and Michael McKinley.
A celebration of Jacquelyn Helen Boyer’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Family and friends may begin visiting on Wednesday starting at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “American Diabetes Association” and sent in care of the funeral home.
