Jack Monroe Younce, 74, passed away Saturday January 31, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center with his wife and family by his side.
Jack was born in Ashe County, NC on December 23, 1940. He was retired from Jackson Marine Sales as a boat technician, wood finisher and fiberglass expert. Jack was a classic car enthusiast and a member of the Recycle Teenagers Car Club, and he loved animals. Jack will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bobbie Younce, and his son Jeff Younce. He was preceded in death by his daughter Diana Sue Younce, his parents Clyde and John Younce, and his mother-in-law, Leona B. Rash. Jack’s surviving family also includes a sister, Barbara Royal and husband Ted of Hudson, NC, sisters-in-law Elizabeth Bullock and husband Jerry of elkton, Leta O’Neal and husband Charlie of Earleville as well as several loving nieces and nephews.
Services honoring his life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Thursday February 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will be in West Nottingham Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and mailed to the funeral home.
