Irean Moxley Husfelt, 74, of Elkton, MD, passed away at her home September 12, 2012.
Born in Alleghany County, NC on May 12, 1938, Irean was the daughter of the late Oscar and Thelma Taylor Moxley. She worked at Ordinance Products for a time and then worked as a cook at various restaurants, and for 25 years worked at 76 & TA, where she retired as a manager. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed caring for children.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Amos John Husfelt, Jr.; daughter Rocky Husfelt Sargent and a son Dale Lee Kropf; grandchildren Deanna and Chad Warden and William (Bucky) Sargent; and great grandchildren, Marissa and Angelia Warden and Savannah Skye Sargent. She also leaves behind her sisters, Betty Jackson of MO, Juanita LaPointe of DE and Peggy Porter of DE; and her brothers Roy Moxley of FL, Robert Moxley and Dale Moxley, who was like a son to her, as well as friend and caregiver Edward Murray and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Diane and her sister Louise.
A service honoring her life will be held at the Elkton Church of the Nazarene, 377 Nottingham Road, Elkton, MD on Tuesday September 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921 on Monday September 17 from 6 – 8:00 p.m. or one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Boulden Chapel Cemetery.
