Ira S. Badgett, 80, of Elkton, MD, passed away unexpectedly at his home April 10, 2015.
Born in Dobson, NC, Ira was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Eades Badgett. He was employed for 42 years and retired as a foreman at Plasticoid Co. in Elkton. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, riding his bike and playing pool. He had a fondness for the ladies and will be remembered as a man who loved life and lived his life helping others.
Surviving are his daughter, Debra Badgett; two sons, Ricky and Brent Badgett; 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
A service honoring his life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921 on Thursday April 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm with a visitation beginning at 1:00. Burial will follow at North East Methodist Cemetery.
