Ila Doris Frederick, age 73, of Port Deposit, MD passed away on February 10, 2013. Ila was born in Bedford, PA on April 2, 1939 to late Leslie A. & Pansy (Glover) Valentine

Ila was a school bus driver for Cecil County Public Schools for many years and also a brownie leader with the Girl Scouts of America. Ila loved raising her children and spending time with her family.

She enjoyed going back home for the holidays and camping at the ocean. Ila was very active with the Cecil County Fair, she held the offices of Secretary, Treasurer and was also on the Board of Directors. She also enjoyed canning, raising flowers, bowling, crochet and scrapbooking.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward David Frederick; sons, David Frederick of Newark, DE & James Frederick of Port Deposit, MD; daughters, Janet Rawlings of Havre de Grace, MD & Becky Anderson and her husband William of Nottingham, PA; grandchildren, Rachael Rawlings and Katie Rawlings; great grandchildren, Gabi Diaz, Rosi Diaz and Nicholas Rawlings.

A Service will be held 12:00pm on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Ebenezer UMC, 1072 Ebenezer Church Road, Rising Sun, MD 21911, with a visitation from 10:00am to 12:00pm where family and friends may call. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, make contributions to the Cecil County 4 – H or Ebenezer UMC c/o the R. T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
