Howard Steven Myers, “Steve”, age 73 of Port Deposit, MD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Steve was born on June 17, 1950, in Elkton, MD to the late Walter W. Myers, and Frances (Beal) Myers.

Steve worked as a Lead Custodian with the Cecil County Public Schools for 48 years before retiring. He was an active member of Redman’s Lodge Ocklokonee Tribe #212 in Oxford, PA, and a member of Mason Harmony Lodge #53 in Port Deposit, MD, and of Tall Cedars of Lebanon – Har-Ce Forest #142. Steve enjoyed deer hunting, fishing for rockfish at Rock Hall, and going camping at Assateague Island.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rebecca Sebold Myers; children: Beth Myers, Pete Pierce (Pat), and John Pierce; seven grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Myers.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at 7PM on Monday, January 29, 2024, at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may begin visiting at 6PM. The burial will be private.
