Horace “Dick” Howard Patchell, Jr., age 90, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Born on October 8, 1933, in Newark, DE. Horace was the son of the late Horace Howard Patchell, Sr. and Marion Patchell (Carson). He served in the Navy before he started working for the Chrysler plant in Newark, DE for 35 years. After retirement you could always find Dick & Betty at their trailer in Bayshore Campground during the summer. He was a member of VFW post 475, American Legion and the Moose Club. He also enjoyed playing golf and bowling.
Horace is survived by his son, Richard Patchell and his wife Penny; daughter, Vicki Weaver; grandchildren: Alison M. Patchell, Kelle Frassico,(Danny) and Dominic Cataldi, (Jessica) and great-grandchildren: Bentley Frassico, Talon Frassico, and Andrew Cataldi. In addition to his parents, Horace is preceded by his loving wife, Margaret Elizabeth Jane Moore, and sister, Joanne Wetzel.
Services for Horace will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00AM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
