Horace Vaughan Ginn of Omaha, died of heart failure on August 15, 2019. He was born in Middletown, Delaware, on October 24, 1922. Growing up on the family farm, he graduated from Middletown High School and the University of Delaware, where he was the quarterback on the University’s football team, and also the mid-Atlantic wrestling champion. As a naval pilot during WWII, he was assigned to the USS Montpelior. Horace retired after 31 years with the Ralston Purina Co. He then travelled internationally as a consultant for several Fortune 500 companies. He will be remembered as a respected mentor as well as a kind, loving, generous man, loved by many.
Horace is survived by the love of his life, Marian, to whom he was married for 72 years; his children Robert Ginn, Sally (Ed) Zachary, Kathy (Joe) Simpson, Andrew (Kathleen) Ginn; grandchildren Taylor Ginn, Laura (Matt) Tennant, Meg (Mike) Duff, Gabe (Lauren) Simpson, Adam and Natalie Ginn; great grandchildren Elizabeth and Jonathan Tennant and Peter Duff.
A private service will be held at a later date in Newark, Delaware. Memorials to a charity of your choice.
