He was my great grandfather. Through my life before he died he and his son (Herb Jr.) were always huge role models in my life. I was only about 13 when he passed away but the things he tought me are still fresh in my mind. I miss him everyday.. I had been trying to make a trip up to Delaware to say goodbye( I was living in Kentucky at the time) I had called my grandmother (Kay) and told her since I couldn't make the trip I wanted to tell him over the phone. When Granna(kay) got home she called me back and told me Pop-pop had passed away. I still visit his wife (Mom-mom) as much as I possibly can. I miss you pop pop.. I think of you every day.. I can imagine you're sitting up there with all the old cars and all the tools in the world to keep them in check and pristean... I love you. Rest easy

No matter how long of life or full of accomplishments, mourning a love ones loss is an expression of love. Because we cannot fully appreciate the joyful reunion latter without the sadness of loss now. The only way to take the pain out of the loss is to not remember the love shared in life. We will always remember Poppop and the love shared.
