Today is November 15, 2013. Hepsi had been on my mind all week. I tried to find her on Facebook but no luck. Tonight I did an internet search, and it grieved me to see her obituary. Hepsi and I were camp counselors at Chesapeake Center Camps in the 80's. We visited on occasion while in high school, and I have fond memories every Christmas of going to her Madrigal concerts and dinners. She looked stunning in her green velvet dress! Hepsi and I lost touch while in college and the last I saw her was in Baltimore when she visited me around 1990. She had just been diagnosed with RA and was scared for her future. She was afraid she wouldn't be able to do her job in a lab and would have to give up flying -- things she loved. From what I read, her life was full and she went on to touch so many lives. What a wonderful gift she was to all. Her smile was infectious and her laugh inspiring. I'm so grateful she was a part of my life, even if for but a moment. And what a fabulous moment it was and I will forever cherish it. I hear you singing among the angels, Hepsi!

We have many fond memories of the Zsoldos family as neighbors from 1969-1983. We are very saddened by the loss of such a young and beautiful young woman who contributed so much to her community and the larger world with her extraordinary teaching skills. Her memory will no doubt live on in all the students who have been inspired by her enthusiasm, ideas and experiences. Our sincere condolences to her husband, Guy, and all of the Zsoldos family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Hepsi, I remember you so well fron High School when you and your parents graciously hosted the Foreign Student Exchange meetings. You were so full of life and energy... I did not see you for many years after that, and then I just saw you about 5 years ago at SuperFresh and caught up and was so amazed at all you had been doing in life. You led an incredible and courageous life. It is so hard to believe you are not on earth anymore. May you be a peace and full of joy in Heaven. My sincere condolences to your mother and siblings and all of your family....Cindy (Pony Kranz) Greene

Our sincerest condolences to Hepsi's family. Hepsi was a kind soul who immediately took Christina under her wing at UD when she arrived knowing no one. She introduced the two of us on the first day of classes and continued to be a good friend throughout college. We lost touch, but followed Hepsi's achievements in the newspaper and were so proud to have known such a wonderful, caring, generous person. We reconnected a year ago over Facebook after hearing about Save Hepsi. We are both so glad we at least made a connection with her this past year and hope she knows the difference she made in so many lives, including our own. Our love and prayers are with you all, Christina and Matthew

With a smile that could light up a room... To know Hepsi is to love her. She is one of the most beautiful souls I have ever gotten the pleasure to know. Gone from planet earth, but certainly never forgotten. Hepsi, I know somewhere you are in peace frolicking with Tipsy.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My condolence goes out to the family. Hepsi was a inspiring teach mother mentor to my son Durell Boyce at Mt. Pleasant High School. She will truly be missed by many. She was a role model to all children, her legacy will live on through many children that was taught and learn from her. I remember when she taugh Durell how to ride the train, that was exciting. I can go on for days about Hepsi and what she did with and for my son. As said before she will be truly missed.

"Grace must find expression in life, otherwise it is not grace." This quote by Reformed theologian Karl Barth makes me think of Hepsi. She truly expressed grace and graciousness in her life. Even from my earliest memories of her (back when we were in 3rd grade!), she embraced life fully and lived it courageously. She gave of herself, her time and her talents, with abandon. Even in the face of physical limitations, there was never any option of sitting on the sidelines of life for her. There was no self pity, no rancor, no possibility of eclipsing her enthusiasm for pouring her life into others. The most ready image of her in my mind is one where she is throwing back her head in uproarious laughter, with the most beautiful broad smile. The laughter was always an expression of joy or encouragement, perhaps self-deprecation, but never at the expense of others. Her life was a testimony to excellence in whatever she set about doing or being. For me she was an excellent friend, and a great example of all that is admirable in human character. The impact of losing her is great, but it speaks volumes of a life well-lived.

I am so sorry for your loss. Hepsi touched many people. She had a great smile and would brighten any day even when her day may not be going the best. She was always positive and quick to offer her help and support. She always made everyone feel welcome. Hepsi gave so much of herself to everyone. She always represented herself, her family and her heritage with pride, honor and tradition. The entire Zsoldos family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss, and that of the entire community. I first met Hepsi when she was a counselor and I was a camper at Chesapeake Center. I also reconnected with her in All-State Chorus (where I met Carolyn as well). I remember her as enthusiastic, dynamic and so personable. I'm sure she was a fantastic teacher and will be greatly missed by her students. Carolyn and Hepsi may not remember me (Jane Zippe, Dickinson Class of 1983) but I fondly remember both of them. My thoughts are with you.
