Heidi Simmons Trageser

Heidi Simmons Trageser, age 58, from Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024. She was born on March 12, 1966, in Elkton, MD, to the late Milford Benson Simmons, and Liselotte Brigetta (Stuber) Simmons.

Heidi was a devoted family member and friend, always just a phone call away, ready to lend an ear or share a laugh. Her culinary flair and spirit of community were apparent by how she would run the basket bingo events and the kitchen. She found great joy in days spent at the beach, particularly Myrtle Beach and Rehoboth where she would soak in the sun and create lasting memories with family. Heidi enjoyed watching new Disney movies with the kids, and the Hallmark Channel. During the holiday season, her favorite Christmas movie to watch was White Christmas. She also could be found watching episodes of her favorite sitcom the Golden Girls. Heidi was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles, spending time passionately cheering her team while watching them play. In her quieter moments, Heidi found solace in reading the captivating stories by Nora Roberts. Heidi’s love for kids, her family and her cat Charlie was evident in everything she did.

Heidi is survived by her children: Karl Scheppelmann (wife, Jennifer), Erika Scheppelmann; nephew, John Jackson, and niece, Linda Jackson.

In addition to her parents, Heidi is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Trageser; siblings: William Simmons, and Waltrude Jackson.

At the convenience of the family, services will be held privately.
