Heather Nichole Jezyk, age 39 of Elkton, MD passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, October 22, 2021. She was born in Wilmington, DE on May 15, 1982.
Heather was known to be strong-willed and tough with a heart of gold. She played softball, volleyball and basketball through her school years while maintaining straight A’s and staying on the honor roll. Usually you could find Heather spending spare time at the beach with family in Ocean City, MD and Bethany Beach, DE, where she enjoyed eating out, especially when seafood was involved.
Heather is survived by her daughter, Michela R. Jezyk; her parents, Ronald F. Jezyk Sr. and Lori (Sauscermen) Jezyk; one brother, Ronald Francis Jezyk Jr. (Sara); two sisters: Sarah E. Jezyk and Jami A. Jezyk and (Justin); maternal grandmother, Aileen Sauscermen; and her husband, Sean Brown.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joseph Sauscermen and paternal grandparents Leonard and Pat Jezyk.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 345 Bear Christiana Road, Bear, DE 19701 family and friends may begin to visit Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow mass at Head Of Christiana Cemetery, Newark, DE. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to “Oxford House” and sent in care of the funeral home, R.T. Foard and Jones Funeral Home P.A., 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711.
