Our sincerest condolences to Wayne, Kenny, Richard and families. We were privileged to have met Miss Hazel after buying a small farm in Colora in 1996. Her love and devotion to the community she loved was more than evident. She will always be fondly remembered by us as a selfless, caring, giver who could press anyone into service when a need arose!

Wayne, Kenny, Richard and your families, You have my deepest sympathy following the loss of your beloved Mother who was truly an “overachiever” for her family and community. In describing your Mom to my wife I said, that Hazel, did whatever she could to improve and enhance the lives and experiences of those of us fortunate to have known her. She was a leader, a tireless worker, and an inspiration to many. A large void is left by her passing but it will be filled by those she inspired and motivated. Again, you and your family have my deepest condolences and love. Jim Eshleman Cub Pack 92

Condolences to Wayne, Kenny, & Richard and their families. My family rented Mrs. Ewing's apartment many years ago. Always looked forward to going over to visit with Hazel's family. Mrs. Ewing made the best cookies and Hazel greeted you with a great big smile and a positive remark. Christmas time was a sight to see with the Jenkin's tree. A different color theme every year. We moved to VA about 4 years ago and missed seeing Hazel in our travels when we lived in Cecil County. No matter where we shopped or ate at a local restaurant seems that Hazel was always there with a most friendly greeting. I know that you miss her terribly. I'm sure she is up in heaven organizing all kinds of fun get together activities. My love & prayers to you.

I am proud to have been one of Hazel's Cub Scouts over 50 years ago. I will never forget being a member of Den 3 and the citizenship and leadership I learned there. Without a doubt Hazel and later her husband Dick, were great role models that helped prepare me for life. She was a grand lady and will be missed. I like so many others will no longer receive from her the first Christmas card of the season, but my wife and I will use that time to remember her as long as there are Christmas' to celebrate.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I was sorry to learn of Hazel's passing. Her card was always the first one we received at Christmas. I worked with Hazel at the Proving Ground and gained a great admiration for her. I chose her to emulate in my professional career and managed to move up the ladder. I will miss seeing her Buick running up and down the road. Rest in Peace.

I will miss Hazels smiling face every Thursday when she got her hair done. No matter how she was feeling, she always had a smile on her face. We had a ton of things to talk about every week, because of being avid sports watchers. I am so happy she was able to see the Ravens win the superbowl one more time. She done so many positive things in her life that many people will feel her loss for a long time to come. Ms.Hazel, you will be missed.........Jennifer

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother and grandmother. Hazel was a wonderful lady great friend and a true American. I met her through my parents playing cards. Eventually I played cards with her on Monday afternoons and occasionally on Tuesday card club days. She and I had some wonderful political discussions. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May God wrap you in his peace and comfort.
