Harlin “Doc” Crabtree, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 15, 2024. He was born on September 19, 1932, in Gainesboro, TN to the late Domer Crabtree and Louevie (Hammock) Crabtree.

Doc had a passion for aviation and aircrafts, finding joy in flying. He had a knack for working on cars, showcasing his love for automobiles. One of his greatest pleasures in life was being surrounded by his beloved family. Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his loved ones in Tennessee. He also had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed being out and about. Doc was known for his kind, generous, and loving nature. His loving presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Doc is survived by his children: Richard Crabtree (Dawn), and Peggy Carol Brown (Mark); seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and sister, Louise Haney.

In addition to his parents, Doc is preceded in death by his brother, Earl Crabtree.

A celebration of Doc’s life will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11 AM, at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD where family and friends may begin visiting at 10 AM. Burial will be held at a later date at Young Cemetery, in Gainesboro, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the “Sunday Breakfast Mission” and send in care of the funeral home, at P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
