H. Norman Wilson, Jr of Elkton, MD, age 76, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019. He was born in Easton, MD on November 12, 1942 to the late H. Norman Wilson and Kathleen Nestor Wilson.
Norman graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD in 1964 where he played basketball and lacrosse; and went on to attend the University Of Maryland School Of Law, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 1968. He began his law career in 1968 in Elkton, MD where he practiced law until his recent passing. Norman was the attorney for the First National Bank of North East from 1978 until 2001. He was the county attorney for Cecil County from 1990-1994 and again from 2008-2012. Norman served as the town attorney for the Town of Elkton from 1995-2014. He was also the current attorney for the Board of License Commissioners and the Cecil County Board of Elections.
Norman was a member of the Union Hospital Board of Directors from 1991-2000 and served as the Chairman of the Board from 1997-1999. He was a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Elkton, MD. Norman was a member of the Susquehanna Law Club, Cecil County Bar Association and a founding member of the Elks Club in Elkton, MD. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity from 1961-present.
Norman is survived by his wife, Debbie Wilson of Elkton, MD; daughter, Cheri Wilson Klunk and her husband, Gary of Chesapeake City, MD; two sons: Ted Lutman and his companion, Lisa of Airville, PA and Jeff Lutman of Elkton, MD; brother, Howard E. N. Wilson and his wife, Patti of Village of Golf, FL; two sisters: Lynne Wilson Rupert of Temecula, CA, and Kathleen Wilson Determan and her husband, Paul of San Diego, CA and four grandchildren: Teddy and Trey Lutman and Ellie and Camden Klunk, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be held 2 pm – 4 pm and 7 pm – 9 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 W. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921. A celebration of Norman’s life will be held at 11 am on Sunday, May 19, 2019 R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 W. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921, where family and friends may begin visiting at 10 am.
