Grace E. Edwards, 72, passed away peacefully at home December 19, surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many, who will miss her dearly.
Grace was born and raised in Cecil County. She was predeceased by both her parents, Harvey Francis McDowell & Myrtle Coulson McDowell. She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Bill Edwards; her children, Cliff Edwards & his wife Sarah; Kevin Edwards & his wife Faith; her grandchildren Derek Edwards, Stacey Edwards and Mark Dill and a great-grandchild, Alyssa Dill. In addition, she is survived by a special aunt, Mary McDowell and a special cousin, Shirley Williams.
She loved her family and friends, flower gardening and her beloved hummingbirds. She was also an avid Dale Earnhardt fan.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life at Zion Methodist Church on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The location is 94 Old Zion Rd., North East, MD 21901.
Donations can be made in Grace’s name to Zion Methodist Church.
