Glenn Ernest Montgomery

July 13, 1948 - July 15, 2022

Glenn was a Vietnam Veteran, proudly serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1966-69. He enjoyed heavy construction work, specializing in cranes. Glenn worked in that profession for over 50 years, most recently for Local 37 constructing Great Wolf Lodge in Perryville, MD.

Glenn is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ruthann Patrick Montgomery; son, Derek Montgomery; grandson, Morgan Montgomery; granddaughter, Ophelia Montgomery; sisters, Gloria (Alfred) Massengill, Gail (David) Frazier, Gilda (David) Anderson, and Gena (Felix) Vaughan; brother-in-law, Dave (Lorna) Patrick; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rest in peace, dear brother. I will cherish the memories of our childhood and beyond. You were blessed with wonderful parents, a fantastic wife and a close-knit family while here on earth. Though I mourn your passing, it comforts me to know you will keep Mom and Dad company until we all meet again on those heavenly shores. Love you always.

A big man, who worked hard and did things his way. A tough and sharp guy, who intimidated some, but I wasn't! I knew underneath was a strong man who loved me and couldn't wait to chow down for Thanksgiving. That day will be forever changed. A brother in law who treated me with gruff and sass, but I always always knew it came with true care. Those phone calls, just to say, *insert growly voice* " how you guys makin out". Don't worry Glenn, we will guard Ruth Ann like a hawk and take the best care of her!! Your absence will leave us with many stories, a few laughs and total remeberance of the man you wanted us to remember. We truly know that the reunion up there is one that God planned! Fly high, Sir you earned it!!!

To my big brother! Many good memories when we were growing up on Main Street in Rising Sun. As we grow older and move on to raise our own families time flies by and before we know it our time on this earth is done. I was blessed to have you as my brother ! You served your country and worked hard your whole life. We didn't always see alot of each other but just knowing my big brother was up on the Ridge if I needed him was enough. You were strong, tuff and sometimes a handful but I loved you with all my heart! R.I.P My Brother❤️?
