Glen Taylor Rosado, “Pops”, age 61, of Elkton, MD passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Born January 11, 1956 in Wilmington, DE, Glen was the son of Emily J. (Taylor) Rosado and the late Luis A. Rosado.
Glen dedicated twenty-six years to Dow Chemical in Newark, Delaware where he worked as a chemical operator. He loved the beach, especially Fenwick Island, where he spent many cherished days with his family. He enjoyed mowing the lawn and preferred to be the only one who groomed it. Glen did not like to be the center of attention but that did not hinder him from being loved by all that had the privilege of knowing him. He was known for whistling and doing anything he could for his grandbabies.
Glen is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Laura L. Rosado; four children: Sam Rosado and his wife, Mandi, Jon Rosado and his wife, Jen, Tiffany Ortiz and her husband, Walter and Stephanie Pratt and her husband, Wesley; nine grandchildren: Caitlin Rosado, Emma Rosado, Natalie Ortiz, Rian Rosado, Laila Ortiz, Zoey Rosado, Charlea Pratt, Baylie Pratt, and Mittzie Pratt; and one grandbaby on the way. Glen is also survived by his mother, Emily J. Rosado; three brothers: Don Rosado, Carl Rosado, and Luis Rosado; sister-in-law, Carol Rosado and several nieces and nephews.
Including his father, Glen was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Earl Rosado and Kim Rosado.
A memorial service will be held in Glen’s honor at 11am on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921, where family and friends my visit beginning at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the “Fenwick Island Beach Patrol” and sent in care of the funeral home.
