George Thomas McGlothlin, “Skip”, 52, of Colora, MD passed away peacefully June 25, 2014 in Bakersfield, CA under the loving care of the nursing staff at Optimal Hospice at Corinthian Gardens Nursing Facility.
Skip was born June 22, 1962 in Seattle, WA to his parents, Isaac W. and Marie (Eshom) McGlothlin. He loved life, laughter, family, and friends. He also enjoyed travel, the ocean, nature, and music.
He was preceded in death by his father, Isaac; three brothers, Joe Smith, Dan Hanby and Johnny Hanby; and one sister, Ramona Hanby.
Skip is survived by his mother, Marie of Colora, MD; brother, Douglas (Valarie) McGlothlin of Colora, MD; sisters, Nellie (Dave) Banks of Colora, MD. Alice (Eric) Kokosinski of Baltimore, MD, Jane (Mike) Goad of Conowingo, MD, Ann (Phil) Hoderfield of North East, MD, Sherrie (Larry) Braun of Novi, MI, and Kathy Bothell of Sparks, NV. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held July 3, 2014 at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Colora, MD, where Richard Ragan, Jr. officiated.
