With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Terry E. (Gene) Justice.

Born in Richlands Virginia June 5, 1960 to Willard H. and Ruth Short Justice, Gene was the youngest of nine children.

The family moved to this area in 1962. Gene began work at Wileys shipyard as a painter in 1979. He continued in construction, hanging and finishing drywall, painting & making home repairs. Many family members will remember him through projects completed in their homes.

Gene is survived by his wife, Esther; four children, Crysten Mahan (Alex) of Elkton, Md., Michael Justice of Chester, PA., Bryan Justice (Tierney) of Colora, Md. and Rachel Miller (Billy) of Millbrook, AL.; seven grandchildren, Chassidy, DJ, Duston, Mikey, Hudson, Addy and Makennon; three great grandchildren, Landen, Greyson & Keleaha; sisters, Brenda Aretz (Joe), Linda D’Alterio (Nick), Madge Sennett (Jim), Darlene Lindsey (Mike) and Donna Terry (Steve)  and a brother, Will (Sylvia); as well as his wife’s daughters, Leanne and Janine and their children, Shaun, Avah, Thomas, Robert and Felix.  He was preceded in death by his father, Willard, his mother, Ruth, two sisters, Janice and Patsy, and his grandson, Parker. 

Gene loved his family and time spent with them. We will all remember his ability to laugh and smile even in difficult times as well as his willingness to lend a helpful hand.

We also take comfort in the fact that Gene knows the Lord. He will be missed by family and many friends.

A viewing will be held on April 11, 2025 at Foard Funeral Home in Rising Sun, MD. from 6-8 PM.

Friends are encouraged to visit.

A celebration of life will be held in June.
