Gene B. Benjamin, age 71 of Rising Sun, MD, passed away March 9, 2018 after a long illness. He was born December 27, 1946 in Baltimore, MD.

Gene was a retired public school teacher. He was well regarded by fellow teachers and his students. Gene was an advocate for learning and always wanted to inspire his students.

Gene is survived by brothers, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
